9 DAY MAUN to VICTORIA FALLS

DAY 1
Fly in to Maun, a modern small town, gateway to the northern regions of Botswana, particularly the Okavango River and Delta. You will be met at Maun Airport by your professional guide. You will stay at Crocodile Camp on the banks of the Thamalakane River in a twin chalet. The camp offers a bar with light menu or restaurant with fixed three course dinner. These can be enjoyed at your leisure.

DAY 2
We leave Maun after breakfast and take a leisurely drive into Moremi Game Reserve. We will visit Xakanaxa region during the day and have lunch in the camp site there. We then proceed to North Gate and stay at the Kwhai public camp site. Game viewing along the Kwhai River can be very rewarding - elephant, hippo, crocodile, lion, cheetah, wild dog and many antelope. After our evening game drive, we return to camp for dinner and reflect on the day's events.

DAY 3
Day spent at camp and game viewing along the river floodplain, hippo pools and inland tracks.

DAY 4
We break camp after breakfast and travel from Moremi to the Chobe National Park, entering at the southern Mababe Gate. This scenic route takes us over the Maghikwe Sand Ridge and up to the Savuti Marsh, where we establish camp in the public camp site for two nights. There are new ablution facilities which offer a touch of luxury in the bush. The camp site, as with all National Parks, is unfenced and open to the bush. The Savuti region has lovely scenery and excellent game viewing opportunities.

DAY 5
Day spent at leisure in camp and exploring the many tracks in the Savuti Marsh area.

DAY 6
We leave Savuti and travel through the Chobe and Linyanti Forest Reserves to re-enter the Chobe National Park at Ngoma Gate in the north. From here we arrive at Kasane village where we set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. You will be taken on a splendid sunset cruise. Our last dinner at camp in the Chobe region.

DAY 7
We take a morning drive into Chobe National Park for game viewing along the beautiful river front. Returning to camp, we load the vehicles and drive through to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Here we will stay at a bed and breakfast lodge. Other meals are at our discretion – there is a large variety of good pubs and restaurants in the town. You are booked on a Zambezi Sundowner cruise with drinks and dinner included. The cruise is recommended as the scenery and sunsets are spectacular on the "mighty Zambezi".

DAY 8
Full day at leisure to visit the Falls, curio shops and the town itself. It is possible to arrange a visit to tamed African elephants. Our vehicles will be available for all transfers.

DAY 9
Leave Victoria Falls mid-morning and return to Kasane for the return flight to Gaborone.
